On last thursday, May 10th, the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) presented the numbers regarding the Brazilian franchising area balance for the first quarter of 2018. According to the association president, Altino Cristofoletti Junior, the Brazilian franchising keeps its trajectory of gradual recovery before a scenery with irregular demand and uncertainties in the political field.
Projections for 2018 point out growth for the area. According to data presented, an increase in revenue is calculated, with a variation between 7% and 8%. Regarding the number of units, there should be a growth of 3%. The volume of direct employments also should raise by 3%. The number of franchiser chains should remain stable.
On the occasion, Altino Cristofoletti has noted that the development of macroeconomic indicators will be thoroughly followed and that, before a scenery with irregular demand and uncertainties in the political field, there is still improvement possibility, what might open a path to a more vigorous development of the national franchising in the next quarters.
