The Brazilian Northeast is the second most prominent franchising region in the country, behind only the country’s Southeast. According to a study ran by Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (BNB), between 2002 and 2015, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the Northeastern states have grown by an average of 3.5% per year. Faced with the last years’ potential and growth, the Grupo Ornatus has performed a study to identify which cities stand out the most in the region, and one of them is Mossoró, from Rio Grande do Norte.
With almost 300 thousand inhabitants, Mossoró is the second most populous city in the state. The city, which is located between two Brazilian capitals - Natal and Fortaleza - is one of the main cities of the Northeast’s countryside. The city is in full economic growth and infrastructure, so it has plans to expand the Morana accessory network as well.
"Morana is already a consolidated brand in the Brazilian territory. We already have 15 years in the market and around 300 operations, but we would like to advance with the brand in Brazil’s countryside cities, in municipalities in expansion and with potential to support a brand that big. Mossoró is one of these cities, so we hope to open a network operation in the city soon enough”, says Márcio Ucha, Expansion coordinator of Grupo Ornatus.
The investment required to open a Morana operation is about R$ 225 thousand. More information can be obtained through the website www.grupoornatus.com.
